Babaco

Seedless Andean hybrid; soft pulp ideal for juices and desserts.

Babaco (Vasconcellea × heilbornii) is endemic to the Ecuadorian Andes. Its elongated yellow seedless fruit is highly valued in Europe as table fruit and nectar raw material. Exported firm green-yellow with cold treatment per destination country protocol. Slightly acidic, very refreshing flavor.

Ideal for

Ripen at room temperature if needed; wash, split, and extract pulp with sanitized tools. Ideal for IQF or immediate fresh use.
