Ecuadorian eggplant (Solanum melongena) is grown on the coast and inter-Andean valleys with glossy fruit, smooth unmarked skin, and firm white flesh without mature seeds. Long and round calibers by market. Exported in 5–8 kg pre-cooled boxes for Europe and the Americas.
