Fresh thyme

Mediterranean export herb; cooking, preserves, and marinades.

Ecuadorian thyme (Thymus vulgaris) is produced in highland plots with dry microclimate that favors thymol and carvacrol concentration. Compact stems, small leaves, and intense aroma. Exported fresh in bunches or dried on request for European and North American markets.

Preparation

Rinse with cold water, dry without bruising leaves. Chop just before use and add at the end of cooking.
